Honey, I saw you hanging around the other day
And I know what you’ve been trying to do
Trying to talk to my boyfriend
Trying to get him to love you
I don’t want a fight
But you’re annoying me
With the things that you say
About my... about my boyfriend and me
Telling people that we’re breaking up
But we’re going strong
So you better shut up
‘Cause baby, you don’t know (no no no)
Baby, you don’t know (no no no)
Better watch your step
‘Cause I’m watching you
I, I, I, I don’t know why you do the things you do
Now you’re spreading lies about us
You want him for yourself
So you better cut it out
‘Cause baby, you don’t know (no no no)
Baby, you don’t know (no no no)
Hey, girls
So, you know that I just got out of the pen, right?
(Yeah, we heard)
Well, you know what we’re gonna do tonight?
(What’s that?)
Time to wild out
Now you’re spreading lies about us
You want him for yourself
So you better shut up
You better cut it out
You better watch your mouth
‘Cause baby, you don’t know (no no no)
Baby, you don’t know (no no no)
You better shut up
You better watch your mouth
You better cut it out
‘Cause baby, you don’t know (no no no)
Baby, you don’t know (no no no)
No, no, no, no, no, baby, you don’t know
I said baby, you don’t know (no no no)
No, baby, you don’t know (no no no)
This album is utterly astounding - funny, moving, upbeat and more infectious than lice. I cannot stop playing this over and over and over - it's like sunshine with spikes. All the tracks are amazing, but the one that has me jumping about the most, is Unicorn in Uniform. Music to crash your car to :) Lalo
The name of this album perfectly encapsulates everything I love about Elizabeth's musical output from the Darlings to Allo Darlin' to these precious songs: an unyielding optimism that is never naive, and by being so, becomes wildly contagious. Some music tells you that "everything will be ok", but her music actually makes you believe it, even when the lyrics hint at doubt. Michael Feck
Sweetly melancholy bedroom pop is rarely as actually vulnerable and personal as it is in this Australian artist's hands. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 21, 2018
