Beverly stay away from me
You break my heart every time you leave
Remember last Sunday you were gonna call me?
Never did hear the phone
Next time I see you
You’re out dancing and you wanna take me home
But remember that last time I saw you
You really did make me cry
You were standing with all your friends and
You wouldn’t even poke me in the eye
Beverly stay away from me
You break my heart every time you leave
Every time you talk to me
I can’t think and I can’t breathe
Beverly stay away from me
You break my heart every time you leave
You can’t take me home
You can’t call my phone
I’d rather be alone
Reading crappy poems
Beverly stay away from me
You break my heart every time you leave
This album is utterly astounding - funny, moving, upbeat and more infectious than lice. I cannot stop playing this over and over and over - it's like sunshine with spikes. All the tracks are amazing, but the one that has me jumping about the most, is Unicorn in Uniform. Music to crash your car to :) Lalo
The name of this album perfectly encapsulates everything I love about Elizabeth's musical output from the Darlings to Allo Darlin' to these precious songs: an unyielding optimism that is never naive, and by being so, becomes wildly contagious. Some music tells you that "everything will be ok", but her music actually makes you believe it, even when the lyrics hint at doubt. Michael Feck
Sweetly melancholy bedroom pop is rarely as actually vulnerable and personal as it is in this Australian artist's hands. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 21, 2018
