lyrics
Roll down the window on the passenger side
And let the air come through
Looking at you I forget how to drive
But this is the perfect view
This is a bad place for us to break down
But you had the good sense to
Make it the opposite of hanging around
By all the good things that you do
When you go, go
I look at you and you light up and say
When you lose control
From the walls to wall
If you need it more
Just breathe for me
Remember you dress me up
You explain the science of picking a lane
But of course I couldn’t change
How the wind breaks us so clear
No you go, go
Into somewhere that I can’t explain
When you lose control
From the walls to wall
If you need it more
Just breathe for me
When the colour goes
Better close our eyes
And if you need it more
Then breathe for me
And I would fall on hands and knees
And I would pray and beg and plead
That the wave beneath me swells
With everything you need
Then you go, go
Now I dream that you light up my way
When you lose control
From the walls to wall
If you need it more
Just breathe for me
When the colour goes
Better close our eyes
And if you need it more
Then breathe for me
I'm biased. I first found Dropkick back in the MySpace heyday. Their jingle-jangle indie pop similarities Teenage Fanclub grabbed me. A good thing.
However, these are lazy similarities, but if it sells this for you then you'll LOVE this Best of...
Gorgeous tunes, songwriting, playing, production, hooks, melodies, harmonies. I could have picked any song as my fave, in fact my fave isn't even on this compilation.
This is a perfect "in"... but now may I suggest the studio LP 'Turning Circles'. dunkie
Listening to a lot of Kevin Robertson and the Vapour Trails recently. Superb songwriting and playing. Those guitar sounds are so damn good. whatrobdidnext
