lyrics
Lie in the shade of the pink cherry trees
And watch all the white clouds vaporize into bunnies
Fenced in for safety and peace of mind
Meadow Lane Park lives in memories of mine
I see now
Love is space and love is time measured by the heart
We never grew apart
On sweet ol’ Meadow Lane
Sometimes I linger on my younger days in torn jeans
Lived many adventures on Meadow Lane's green
Games in the playground defied gravity
Life kept us spinning on a merry-go-round
I feel now
Love is space and love is time measured by the heart
We never grow apart
Sweet ol’ Meadow Lane

I will borrow a description from someone-"Le Super Homard are a blend of Broadcast and Stereolab". I think that is an apt description, but this is a fully realized band, not just a sum of parts. This appeared out of nowhere and is an amazingly fresh hot take. The music/vocals are dreamy, beat driven with splashes of sixties psych and lounge. No one is making this kind of music at the moment, and even if they did, they could not make it as great as Le Super Homard circular music

This is a gorgeous album. Totally now, while reminiscent of the best pop from decades past. Beautiful echoes of St Etienne, Broadcast, Cocteau, Dubstar. Within a pop realm it holds a timeless quality, with its dreamy lo-fi pallet of sounds, infectious bass and drums, and compelling vocals. Each piece creates a world to inhabit. For me these worlds are tinged with a sort of nostalgia for a time that never really was, though they are not limited to this. I return to this album again and again. ks6bb
Another stellar effort from the Melbourne producer and singer-songwriter, built around fragmented grooves, warped vocals, and catchy hooks. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 29, 2020
Art-pop that turns a critical eye on the world, as accessible as it is complex; sales benefit the Southern Poverty Law Center. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 24, 2018
